My First Snow, March 2008

So, I admit, I am definately being a blog slacker...I'm way behind. But here are a few pics of Kaleb's first snow (that didn't melt before we were able to dress him and get him out the door). His frosty friend melted within two hours of this picture.

Recent Events

Below:
This is what happens when Jason is left alone to take care of Kaleb. They play jungle in Kaleb's crib. I think Jason had more fun than Kaleb!

Kaleb recently went to his friend Elijah's first birthday party. We watched Elijah eat way too much cake!

This is one of my favorite pictures. Kaleb actually grew out of this outfit in a week. The sleeves were up to his elbows a week after this picture.

This (the red outfit-this program switches pictures around and it is hard to write besides them) is actually an outfit that Jason wore when he was a baby...although Jason wore it at 6 months and Kaleb squeezed into it at 3 months. We did a photo shoot at home and got alot of good pics!

We have no pictures of our little fort that we made in our stairwell the other night when the tornados went through but we appreciate all your thoughts and concerns. We had the mattresses all around us. It was pretty scary because we had more to lose this time(Kaleb).

I've also started working again. I'm doing home health physical therapy because it is more flexible and I get paid alot more. I'm only working part time and seeing around 3 patients a day. That way Kaleb only has to go to day care 3-4 hours a day. They do a good job at day care (a local one) but he doesn't get the individual attention I would like(I'm a little biased). But it does give me a chance to get out of the house again.

Baby Blessing

On January 27th Kaleb had his baby blessing at church. It was really nice. We pledged to raise Kaleb in a Christian home. Kaleb's grandparents and aunt Amanda and Uncle Jeremy and cousin Nylah were all there to support us. The church had a nice lunch afterwards.

MORE TIGER FUN!

I can tell this tiger will be an interesting playtime toy! it needs a good name! any suggestions??

Girl's Weekend!

Well, Kaleb survived his first girl's weekend...We went to Knoxville to spend MLK weekend with Ulla and the girls. Kaleb is a ladies man b/c he was all smiles with everyone and even "squeeled in delight" for the first time. He did, however, escape for a night with his dad and got to play with his cousin nylah again. Well, Kaleb is getting bigger as we speak and is just doing more of his same stuff. His head control is getting better, he is grabbing toys more often, his fists are constantly in his mouth and he likes to blow spit bubbles. He is sleeping pretty well, 10 hours at night with one meal at about 6 hours. We haven't developed a night time routine yet, but i see that in our future soon!

Happy New Year's!!

I know I look like Brittany Spears in this picture, but I swear, it was nothing like that!!
Happy New Year everyone! We spent the New Year with Jason's family and as you can see, it was quite a happening party! We all stayed up and watched the ball drop. We exchanged gifts with Jason's family while we were there. Kaleb enjoyed meeting his great aunt and uncle for the first time. He now weights more than all his grandmother's chihauhaus.
We went to the doctor for his 2 month check up on Jan. 3rd. He weighs 13lbs and 7 oz (which is the 90th %tile in his age group) and was 23 inches long (50%). He got his shots and I cried along with him. He slept most of that day except once to scream until I was able to give him more tylenol. I can't believe it, but I only have 3 more weeks of maternity leave. It has gone by so fast! He is changing every day. He is grabbing his toys, sucking his full fists and cooing. He found himself in the mirror the other day and gave himself a huge smile...such a handsome devil!

Christmas

OK, so I haven't figured out how to post the pictures appropriately yet, but hopefully you can follow. Well, we went to Virginia to my (Amy's) parents house for Christmas. Kaleb was an angel in the car on the 12 hour trip. It only took 2 hours longer than normal due to stopping to feed him a few times.
The first picture is of my sister Christie holding Kaleb in the outfit she got him from Peru this year. She climbed mont yupichu in the rain in misery, but the trip deemed succesful with an adorable outfit for her soon to be nephew. The second picture is on Christmas morning in which Kaleb slept completely thru (he must have been tired from delivering presents the night before).
The third picture is of all the guys who were forced into Christmas cheer while decorating the tree before Christmas. It was great to hang out with family and see Carrie and Lindsay, my high school friends and their growing families. We stayed a week and then headed for Knoxville for New Years. As you can see, I don't have too much to say on my blog. For now, its just an excuse to show off pictures of Kaleb.
